The Legacy of Dante
Dante acheved much in his life, but one of his greatest achievements was helping develop the Italian language into the most litarary language in Western Europe. Also, he helped unify the separated Italian territories by creating a national culture, an end to which Dante looked for all his life.
Dantes work impacted the culture of the Italian Penninsula helped his Tuskan as the ansesters of modern Italian.
Writing the "Divine Comedy" was probly his greatest achievement because it changed the Catholic church forever. It broke eternity down into three sections. Paridise, or Heaven, Pergatory, and Hell.
